Morgen gaat de Zillertal Välley Rälley verder in Gerlos. Eerder dit jaar ging de Rälley al naar Kaltenbach en nu is het tijd voor Zillertal Välley Rälley Gerlos. Deze tweede stop telt mee in de totaalscore van de Välley Rälley en wie weet scoren de boarders uit de Benelux weer goed.
In Kaltenbach won Jens Rummens uit België bij de Rookies, werd Evy Poppe (BE) tweede bij de Groms girls en Kyro Zonneveld (NL) derde bij de Groms boys. Gerlos staat natuurlijk bekend als Nederlandse enclave, dus wie weet dit keer meer Belgen en Nederlanders op het podium. Nieuwsgierig naar alle scores in Kaltenbach? Die vind je hier. Parkshapers are working hard to get the Snowpark Gerlos in perfect shape for the upcoming Zillertal Välley Rälley Gerlos hosted by Ride Snowboards tourstop on January 23rd and 24th 2016. It´s snowing in the Zillertal Arena! Just in time for the second Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards tourstop, Mother Hulda has been delivering a great load of fresh snow to Gerlos. Park designer Manfred Brandacher and his team are busy these days, moving tons of snow to get the Snowpark Gerlos ready for the popular Snowboard Amateur Series. No matter, if you are a freestyle newcomer or ambitious contest rider, rail machine or kicker fan, the new setup in Gerlos will not disappoint you at all. With the second Välley Rälley event 2015/2016, riders and spectators can expect some reasonable snowboard action in Gerlos. Ride Snowboards will offer the latest snowboards and bindings to all guests for free demo testing right at the snowpark. The snowboard pro coaching with experienced trainers from the Ästhetiker crew is free of charge for all participants. Every freestyle fan, young or old, rookie or upcoming slopestyle talent, can pre-register online to join in a full day of workshops, shooting sessions and fun with like-minded people.
As for the coachings, a pre-registration is also obligatory for the open slopestyle contest at www.valleyralley.at. Snowboarders of all age groups will compete in different categories and on different lines. The winners take home medals, and mad-prizes from Ride, Vans, Red Bull, Greenroom, Black Eye and Dana Beanies. The best trick further wins a complete street wear kit from Vans.
Riders of all tourstops collect points for the World Snowboard Tour ranking and Zillertal Välley Rälley overall ranking. At the final tourstop on Hintertux Glacier in April, the overall winners will finally be crowned.
The second tourstop is a part of the Austriacups and riders of the first three events can get qualified for the N.ASA Shred Down Austrian Masters. The overall Rookie winner wins a wildcard for the World Rookie Finals 2016. All info at www.powdern.com.
